In Europe Iceland stole the show.

Sara Sigmundsdottir and Annie Thorisdottir tied for first in women category, and Björgvin Karl Guðmundsson won in men’s division ahead of Steven Fawcett (England) and Jonne Koski (Finlad).

Russia had the biggest lifts in 15.1a. Oxana Slivenko had the heaviest clean and jerk (115 kg) on the ladies side, and Vladislav Rigert took number 1 with a 172-kilo lift on the men’s chart. Vladislav Rigert, son of a famous weightlifting coach David Rigert completing the workout with a 172 kg clean and jerk.

First workout was packed with excitement and yes, humor as well. Like Kim Jong Un leading the chart for a second.

After being sidelined last year due to injury, Lacee Kovacs is back and currently sits on 4th place (In Europe).

Sam Briggs, competing in South East this year, placed 2nd worldwide in part one, but slipped down the chart in the clean and jerk due to injury. We wish Sam a speedy recovery to come back even stronger for the Regionals.
