The Strength Motivation you Need to Lift BIG in 2016

Olympic lifts and compound barbell exercises are excellent marks of personal strength.

As we move into 2016, I’ll bet that there are a lot of you out there in the Crossfit community with numbers and goals in your head for the new PRs that you are going to achieve in the New Year. These examples will help.

One of the most charismatic lifters is, without doubt, Dmitry Klokov. The Russian became World Champion in 2005, with a total (Snatch and Clean and Jerk) of 419kg. He competed in the 105kg category, and won many medals throughout his career. His father, Vyacheslav Klokov, was also a world champion who competed in the heavyweight category. If you are about to head to the Box to work on your lifts, try this video of his 200kg pause snatch for motivation.

Alexey Lovchev

The Russian smashed out a 264kg Clean and Jerk Record at the IWF World Championships recently.

Deng Wei

This highly talented lifter set a new Clean and Jerk world record in the womens 63kg category at the IWF World Championships with a phenomenal lift of 146kg!

Lu Xiaojun

Competing in the 77kg category, this man is a force in Chinese lifting. Here is a selection of his Snatch attempts at the recent IWF World Championships in Houston.
