BIG GUY RASMUS ANDERSEN WINS THE GYMNASTIC TEST EVENT!

“He took off quickly in Event 3, completing both passes of handstand walks unbroken. Larger athletes, typically not recognized for gymnastics excellence, can struggle with high-skilled gymnastics movements, but the 215-lb. Danish athlete, who resides in the United Arab Emirates, showed no signs of struggle. He flew through Event 3 and claimed his first event win of the Meridian Regionals.

WILLY GEORGES WINS EVENT 4

• You may have seen a tree in every Instagram post of Willy Georges. That’s because it reminds him of Vosges, a region in the east of France, home of the winner of Event 4 here at the #MeridianRegional. The 25 year old ex-rugby player started day 2 just like any other competition day. After placing third worldwide in the Open, the athlete from @CrossFitDBS83 has been working throught the year on his handstand skills, and he showcased that in Event 3. – “That’s something I needed to improve, after last year’s Regional I was certain i needed to make this my strenght.” – Last year, Georges placed in 18th position, far away from the Games Qualifying spots. He currently sits in third-place overall in the #MeridianRegional. – “I’m looking forward to last event. Thrusters are really my movement.” • 📷 @frozenintimefr | @fitaid | @crossfitfrance 🇫🇷

I’m better, and I want to show that I enjoy being here. ”
