Day 2 of the Down Under CrossFit Championship saw individual athletes “Battle the Beach” on a 800m run, 300m swim and a final 1km run.
They then returned indoors to perform strict handstand push-ups, muscle ups, rowing and a calorie Ski Erg.
Amanda Barnhart absolutely smashed Individual Event 4, finishing in 7:51, almost two minutes quicker than the fastest male. She also won the Battle the Beach event by one second, securing her top spot at the end of day 2.
Australian favourite Matt McLeod also won Event 4 and the Battle of the Beach, going into the last day of competition in first place. American Jake Floen, currently ranked 30th, surprised everyone by winning Individual Event 5.
