In short, the Crossfit calendar looks like this :
THE OPEN: FEB 25
REGIONALS: MAY 13-29
THE GAMES: July 19-24
Let’s break that down into more detail.
THE OPEN FEB 25
Registration is already available for The Open. With over 272,000 entrants last year from 139 different countries, the Open is your chance to find out where you rank in your own Box, your country and across the globe. In its 6th year, this is the beginning of the journey to find the fittest Man and Woman in the World, alongside the fittest teenager and Master.
The Open is fun whatever your personal standard. If you have just started Crossfit, then it is a chance to get a taster of the competitive aspect. You may find that this drives up your times and PRs. If you want to go further, and have your eyes set on the Regionals and even The Games themselves, then this is where it starts. For everyone. You are in the same competition as Smith, Fraser, Gudmundsson, Davidsdottir, Sigmundsdottir, Webb, Leblanc-Bazinet etc, and that is a great feeling! Get involved.
